Update: Due to the severe weather forecasted, this event has been postponed one week, to February 24.
Celebrate the newest issue of SHIFT, MTSU Write’s literary magazine—or share some writing of your own—with MTSU Write and Poetry in the Boro on Thursday evening, February 1724. Doors open for mingling and refreshments at 5:30 PM. We’ll hear SHIFT contributors read their work beginning at 6:00, then have our poetry open mic following that.
We’ll be gathering at the Oaklands Mansion Event Center, 900 N. Maney Ave. in downtown Murfreesboro. As you approach the mansion, the event center and its parking is to the left (although please follow signage that routes you on the loop drive in front of the mansion to get there).
SHIFT contributors: You should have an email asking if you’d like to sign up to read.
Open mic readers can share poetry or spoken word: 2 pieces or 4 minutes, whichever comes first. Reading a favorite poem by another writer is fine, too.
SHIFT is a publication of MTSU Write. Learn more at shift-write.com.
