Join us to listen to some poetry—or share some writing of your own—at Poetry in the Boro on Sunday, April 24. Doors open for mingling at 5:30 PM. Our feature will be poet Jeff Hardin of Columbia, TN, whose seventh poetry collection, WATERMARK, is out this month from Madville Publishing. Learn more about Jeff below.
We’ll be gathering at the Oaklands Mansion Event Center, 900 N. Maney Ave. in downtown Murfreesboro. As you approach the mansion, the event center and its parking is to the left.
ABOUT THE OPEN MIC
Open mic readers can share poetry or spoken word: 2 pieces or 4 minutes, whichever comes first. Reading a favorite poem by another writer is fine, too.
CHALLENGE WORDS
If you like, write a piece to share that includes one, some, or all of the following words chosen by our audience last time:
swim | undulate | follow | finagle | blue | lover | blacklist | platypus | umbrella | verbiage
