Bloom Stage is a quarterly event that brings a blend of storytelling, poetry, music and art to the Murfreesboro stage at Walnut House. The series is produced by Kara J Kemp with assistance from Kory Wells and other community members as co-producers. The Bloom Stage celebrates the ability of art to honor both the diversity and commonality of human experience, and to satisfy a vital human need for connection. It seeks to present established and emerging storytellers, poets, performers and artists and to encourage unity among communities whose stories often go unheard.
This is our 5th Anniversary season kick off, and we will be paying tribute to our past seasons and collaborators with featured music of Heather Moulder and the comprehensive live works created for past shows by Gregory Lannom. Featuring stories and poetry of Nick Bush, Mark Lamb, Gypsy Schindler, Jamie Stevens and Tony Woodall, as well as providing an open mic segment to spotlight new voices.
A $10 suggested donation to help keep the lights on, but no one will be denied entry to the show.
