Bloom Stage proudly announces the next show in its 2025 series, “Secrets & Whispers.” In regular collaboration with Poetry in the Boro, this show includes co-production with Carson Elliott Kreidler.
This show is built around the secrets we’ve held or created, the whispers exchanged beside the holiday punch bowl, and the quiet truths we have not yet allowed ourselves to believe.
Through poetry, story, music, and performance, “Secrets & Whispers” beckons us to reflect on what we might release and what we wish to welcome into our lives. It’s an invitation to both confession and dreaming, to exploring the hidden and the hopeful alike.
If you’re a regular at Poetry in the Boro, you’re going to recognize a lot of names you know for this show! Featuring storytellers
- Taffy Chime
- Hil Hoover
- Kara Kemp
- Ricky Martini
- Michelle Willard
and poets
- Sandra Crouch
- Carson Elliott
- Mallory Jaye

There will also be live music with Anna Shinholster, art by Carol Berning and Gregory Lannom, soundscape by Taylor McMillen, an aerial act by our own Bliss Button-Hale, and an open mic segment!
The beautiful Walnut House provides an intimate setting for this quarterly event, creating a space for connection and community. Located at 116 N Walnut Street (off the Square in downtown Murfreesboro), doors at 6:30 pm with libations and light refreshments, and the show starts at 7 pm.
